Howdy, im karly cooper
but most call me coop or cooper

Here's a little about me
mostly just the important parts that led me & you to here.
I grew up in the tiny town of Caroline Alberta, where I spent majority of my upbringing on my grandparents farm. Although Caroline didn't have much to offer for shopping malls or movies theatres I preferred everything else it had to offer anyways. I grew up riding horses, chasing cows in the hills, fishing all the beautiful rivers & creeks our back country had to offer, playing sports, following my big brother around on the rodeo trail watching him ride bulls and helping my grandparents on the farm as much as I could being a busy teenager.
My grandparents were everything to me, although I mostly enjoyed being a grandpas girl my grandma tried her best to teach me everything she knew before her Alzheimers completely took over.
Which eventually led me to finding my job today as a health care aide. Ive been doing home care now for over three years and still love it.
Now how does this tie into photography you might be wondering?
Well while spending so much time at my grandparents we spent a lot of time listening to thier old stories and sometimes on a rainy afternoon or an evening after supper we would get looking at all my grandpa's old hunting pictures. And thats when I fell in love with photography, the idea of being able to capture a moment to be able to look back on and remember that moment.
The life those old worn pictures would bring to my grandpa was everything I needed to be inspired.
So one Christmas a few years back I got gifted a second hand camera and I started packing it with me everywhere. I felt most comfortable capturing the western way of life that surrounded me and helped raise me.
So thats me, just a gal, her little blue dog and a camera in hand trying to capture the western way of life and giving you moments you get to hold onto and share with your grandkids one day.
